gold coin dated 1327

Congrats on the gold coin. Any gold coin is a great find.
Not sure if you've figured it out yet, but this coin isn't actually from 1327. The islamic calendar is different from the calendar we use (formally known as the gregorian calendar), and this coin looks definitely to have arabic style script on it.
It is reasonably old though, 1327 on the islamic calendar is 1909 in ours, so the coin was minted in 1909. Not sure what country it's from though.

More on the coin I found. Yes you are correct the date is 1909 in our calander and a nice man on E-Bay identified it as a 25 or 50 Kurish from Turkey. His father used to bring them to him when he was a young boy from Syria. I feel very lucky as I have been detecting only for the last 6 months and still new at this great hobby. My eleven year old daughter really enjoys it and it brings us closer together which is more important than any gold coin.

Very nice coin, Frank WTG!
