Gold Chain found with NOX 800

Went for a beach hunt last night down in the wet sand. With the heat and it being a holiday the crowds have been crazy! After a few hours of hunting all I had to show was a clad, a few foreign coins, and a junk hoop ear ring. I was committed to digging every decent hit even the pennies. I was hunting beach 2, reactivity 3, sensitivity 18. I got a hit that read 17 and dug out a scoop. Then I saw about 6” of chain. It was stretched out in a straight line and about 8” down. The rest of it was stuck and wouldn’t budge with gentle pulling so I got down and started digging like a dog. I got it all out and then searched the hole for any other parts to it and didn’t find anything else. Then I searched the scoop I first pulled out and there was a brand new penny in it. I was too excited to think straight and test to see if the NOX was actually picking up the chain or the penny. I hope I didn’t just get lucky with the necklace being near the penny. I’ll check it on it’s own later. Also I’m going to bring it back to the beach and bury it in the wet. HH

Looks sweet hope it test out to be gold! I had a chain marked 18k thick to turned out to be fake .

I need to get a gold testing kit. I just air tested it and it wouldn’t pick it up stretched out but balled up it hit it from a few inches and rang up between 1-4. I think I dug the penny and got lucky with the necklace being there too.
