Had to run an erand again , for me old mom , so that was my chance to bring the golden umax , which i very wisly equiped whith the 7" widscan coil wich coil pinpoints very well and gives me good distiction in tones plus the spot would be to target rich for the 3x18 i just took it easy and was cleaning up the earea diging foil nails can slaw, and i tell you some of the can slaw sounded like a nice gold ring would sound then i got what sounded like a foil sound but kinda jumping around HUMM it was a gold chain nice , you know thear was lots of coins masked by other trash the 1919 wheat did not come thru until i dug a chunk uf foil out then i heard a good sound it was 3.5" down and the quarters and dimes had been thear a wile this tells me its not been hunted hope to get back to this spot as i only coverd a small earea

:thumbup:Great job gunner the Minelab boy's only dream about finds like that, we know what detectors will bring home the bacon! I put the widescan on my detector last week and had better luck than i had in a long time, i like the quick coverage,i like to make some good quick finds and then get out of the heat here in South Carolina.Found 2-trade tokens,2-silver dimes,a Charleston Fire Dept Badge, about 5-wheat's,never ever thought i would go w/s!.Charles,Charleston.

very nice finds Gunnar , ya doin well with that 7 " widescan do you find the widescan gives more descriptive tones than a concentric ?

Yes noticible better sounds that is whith my Golden i tried the 7" concentric as well on the same test garden the sidescan gave clear tones low mid high this is du because it sees 30% less ground effect I am sold on DD coils now exeptfor small concentrics
