What's up with this gold cent that I dug Mon ? Is it just gold or brass plated - the pic is after tumbling the coins for 4 hours today. steve in so az

That means I found some too! :lol: Seen them before, don't know why they come out that way?
 
If you have a very precise scale you can weigh them. Gold is a heavy metal, so it would weigh significantly more than a standard issue penney. I would recommend a scale that can weigh grams to 2 decimal places. X.XX

good evening Steve, no help from here, but a suggestion, check with a coin collector/trader, if infact it is unique or a rare coin, he would know.
 
I was just kidding! :lol: I will find that gold coin someday! :)
