This coil is very deep on my rig "BUG two - niner" and has perfect balance .....just got it in friday ....so wanted to See.... what the Minelab boys.... left me.....This IS one major pounded SITE ....Most targets where below the

10 - 12 inches topsoil embeded in the BRICK like clay layer....An area that most Labs do not like... due 2 search field foldback

MY Etrac and T2 LTD SE got to stay warm all day in the CAR....

Amazing finds at depth, just curious Jim, did you ID by sound or did the VDI meter help out with these deepies?

Thanks,

Thanks Waterman

The deepies with my bug... Make the high pitch Tic... and sometimes LOCK good for the button or coin especially after scrapping off an inch or two with my boot.... not always... but some were right on undisturbed.... others had to coaxed abit.... all where above forty +......thirty one was always big iron and once you had that sound down it was a none issue ...the tick with one or two signal bars where the ones that you had to be careful digging THAT deep..not to harm the recovery.....the clay was like i said brick hard with older finds in this stratification layer... I did pay more attention to the GB yesterday since i was off the coast in changing Ground......I mainly do not look at the meter until I hear what i like to hear..
When i am in the zone anything 40 on up is coming out.....

..just better coverage. Mainly what advantages did you see with the 10x12 SEF.
I was going to order one but waited for someone else to guinea pig it....:)
I assume this is the Fisher F75 10x12 SEF....
Scott

Hi Scott

Wonder why they are on( Back Order) for the T2 and why its bigger brother 12X15 cost 500 dollars now ......think God the only one I am waiting on for my T2 LTD SE is the 10X12......I have the 12X15 for the 75 and T2.....and as of Friday Nov. 5 the 12X10 for the 75 ... I do not run Hugo tires on my caddy.....not saying the stock is a Hugo .....But my time in the field is valuable and time managed....When you just gotta KNOW.....
Thank You for the question Scott......only way to beat the competition is know them.... better ...than they ....know... themselves.
And since you live in AZ. that state is safe from me this week.....WINK....

Very nice Jim. Did you know I never owned a Baracuda. Strange,:)

Big Jim,
Awessome digs. You're speaking my language when you talk about that hard clay. When you get down to that hard stuff you're almost sure you on something good. I take it you still hunt by ear and use the digital read outs to to help you along.
I still hunt with an old fisher classic and am still finding some good stuff, but looking for something that will bring me up to date. I've not considered the gold bug for relic hunting. With the name gold bug I thought it was just for hunting gold. I guess I was wrong. i've posted on several forums to get some ideas from different folks that might help me along, but with the language you've used here, along with your your pics,it's no doubt you've been helpful in my quest.
Thanks,Bill from Va.

Bill,
I'am kiiing off the relic population while you decide. Tex

Thanks Guys!!!

Be... Safe... out there.....

Is the 10x12 you were using on the Bug the same coil you would use on an F75? Or is there one being made specifically for the Bug.
I know all my F75 coils work on my GB SE

Yes.... I am sure it can....but at this time..... I am happy with what is available on the shelf .....which benefits my BUG and the 75 ... right Now....Least that is My findings with my machines...

It seems..... I remember ...... Talk..... Of a new design Coil for the Bug ........ from ...FT..........hopefully it will be more..... forth coming .....and Smooth....
