Gold Bug SE Washer

SLATE

New member
Hello all...... Got my Gold Bug SE last week, but the little washer to go with the coil was not shipped with it. It says to use it with the 5 inch coil but not to with the 11 inch coil.
Was wondering can I use any rubber or plastic washer?...... And what is its use on the 5"and not the 11"? Is it a spacer?
Thanks for any and all replys

Andrew

Andrew,

You can use any rubber or plastic washer...it's just a spacer so the small coil will be able to sit tight.

Mine didnt have one in the box when opened with 5" coil. I had a spare. I would think the 11" would take one on ea. side. My 11" will be here tomorrow. Try to get from the Depot.

I don't know what it is, buut mine didn't come with the washer either. I guess there is a lack of quality control when they get shipped out? Such a small detail, but the washer is really important to keep the coil in place and from flopping up and down. I use a washer with my 11 inch coil too.

Hi Azsh, you mean the washer was inside one of the rods? I didn't look inside the rod for mine. I'll have to check. They sent me a washer after re-calibrating mine.
