....took it to a series of celar holes that we pounded for years but were so trashy we gave up using our Explorers, F75's and DFX. We got all we could by picking through the heavy iron trash.
Decided to go back today and use the SE with the 11" DD....it works good enough I don't need the 5" usually plus there is alot of woods to search away from the hole.
Pulled this 1857 Flying Eagle cent right from among the iron trash about 5 feet off the foundation. Clear signal between all the iron grunting. Was only down 4 inches or so which is typical round these foundations but..the trash is heavy heavy.
Also dug 3 buffalo nickels, a wheatie, and 5 colonial style flat buttons as well as a pewter spoon handle....oh and a shoe buckel. The Buffalo's and wheatie were dug aways away near a cript in the side of a hill....or could be a root celar...either way it is a creepy looking thing with a huge heavy iron door. The nickels were probably dropped by a hunter camping there as it is loaded with shot shells around the cript.
The SE is super hot on small buttons...very hot.
