Gold Bug SE.....Relics.......It's A Keeper:thumbup:

Went to a very difficult site yesterday. Keep in mind that there has been a pile of relics taken from this 1 acre spot, in town, with a 1940's house built on it. The ground was reading 3 bars most of the time on the FeO meter on the GB. I was hunting in disc mode, sens wide open with the 11" & 5" DD coils. As you can see, it is very hot on small brass buttons and VERY small lead. The two nails on the right are what you have to "See" thru to get the goods!! Nothing really deep, but the 3 ringer, which was at 8" deep. Most of the buttons were 4" or less. I finaly settled on the disc set at 40 because of the unreal amount of foil in the yard. If it said 55 or up on the meter I dug it. I tried my other machine there, which is a killer open ground machine and it was not performing like the GB SE. I would like to get it out in a open field with the 11" DD and see what depth it will get. Oh, if I were gonna go west for gold, I think the GB would be a killer nugget detector!!!

I forgot to add that the 5" coil is like a laser and pinpointing is a snap. Keith, the ground sounded just like your "Dime On The Deck" Video, just replace the dime with a cuff button!!!

they would not be able to keep them on the shelve's:surprised:

The 5 inch is like a laser...I dont use it a lot but it does a great job....My main coil is the 11 DD ...just seems like the machine was made for that coil...

Gold Bug is an amazing detector.. Quickest target response I have ever seen and virtually no falsing in iron like some other high gain machines and that's running 100 gain in machine gun iron!!

A real joy to use.. and is deadly in hunted out spot's:devil:

Have fun with it...

Keith

The machine runs super smooth with that coil and it does really deep and the small iron can be totally eliminated with the discrimination control, or if one wishes, can hear it via discrimination at 0.

Can't praise the unit enough for beach hunting too. Just works really, really well in wet salt sand and suds. NO chatter at all even at gain 100.

Speaking of Camo...........GB LTD

Just as long as the LTD is just a paint job. One of the main reasons I bought the Gold Bug over an F75 LTD was the simplicity. Plus the fact I was told it could hunt wet, salt sand...WHICH IT CAN !
