Gold Bug SE & Coins.............

Well, I have been using my G2 for the last few times out and I decided to take my GBSE with the 11" coil out for a spin yesterday. Well, it does hit on the higher conductor coins. I found this Conterfeit $5 gold coin at 10" in real rocky soil. The field has been plowed, but it is a Union CW Camp that I have been hunting. It is copper. Settings for the GB were sens 99 and disc at 35 and yes the spot is full of old square nails. I guess this coin was gold guilded at one time. It looks really convencing.....MO

Mark I find the GBSE 29 to be very sensitive to deep coins too. I have found it to be hot on the full spectrum from low to high conductives. Do you think the G2 has any advantages over the GB?

You know, my GBSE seems a little hotter, I have the 29'er version. I'll just have to use them back and forth and see. Right now, I woud say that it is like the F75 & T2 when they came out, kinda a toss up for relic hunting. I do know that BOTH machines work like magic in worked out spots. If you want to suck up the cuff buttons, pistol rounds, percussion caps and all other small stuff, the G2 & GBSE are the way to go. I call it "Micro Relic Hunting".....:detecting:

I was getting my truck serviced yesterday, the shop owner hunts sometimes with Mark D. and myself. We went over to a house a block from his business, the GBPro was deadly, my first 8 holes were coins, 3 silver dimes and a few wheat cents, one clad nickel, I mainly relic hunt but this detector will do it all!
