All i can say is WOW this thing is so good. Went hunting in some gravel by the rail road tracks you never know were it is shipped in from. Ran sens set at 75 Dic set at 36. Sometimes i would run the coil over my boot eye holes to make sure it was working so quite. Ever time it sounded of over a rusty spike it read ever time 40. All other iron would give a low tone, i found some of the spikes at 5 to 8 In's. I did find a piece of white Q with a couple specks of gold in it about 6 specks it gave a good 43 down about 4 in. under the top layer of gravel. What i like about the Pro is I'm in Ohio and their is alot of metal in the side creeks here. But also a lot of fine gold. and some pickers here and their. I'm in the part were gold has been found. A gold machine without a good dic would be hard to work with here. I had a whites gold master 11 big difference's great out west but not around here. I am very pleased so far with this Gold Bug going back out weds hope to fine some more good stuff. From what i have seen it could well been a $700 Gold detector thank you Fisher. was running with the stock 5in coil.

goldman55 -- where in ohio do you find fine gold and even pickers? I undertand what you mean with the railroad gravel, shipped in from elsewhere, having some gold with it, but the streams and creeks? Didn't know there were any areas of Ohio with native gold.

Its Glacial Gold. In my area is were the Glacier stop, also their was a couple of Gold Mines started back in the day don't think they did much. But remember not all the Gold was Flated my the Glacier. Picture a Ice cube with gold frozen in the bottom of it also in the middle of it. So as it goes along the bottom gets flated down to fine gold but the middle gold stays their Glacier stops. Glacier also pushing the earth in front of it. Morals. Hit the streams that have carved into these find the Gold. pea size pickers. But i believe their are bigger nuggets out their. Ohio, Indiana. But I'm a new be at this. Its really interesting because they have did road work here road caved in because someone dug right under their, back in the day maybe when it was a dirt road. didn't just cave in the road they were digging on it found it. If they found gold sure wont tell it who ever dug it.Southwest Ohio. Native Gold No but ill take Canadians Gold any day.

Gotcha goldman55.

Reason I asked was, I grew up in southwest Pennsylvania, and had looked a bit into where to find gold in PA. None west, at least not native; only a bit maybe in s central PA in the counties around York, PA.

I know the terminal moraines from some of the past glacial activity were just north of where I grew up -- in the Lawrence and Butler County areas. In fact, Moraine State Park in Butler County is near one of those locations, hence the name. I often wondered if there is any glacial gold in that area; never did hear of anything. But I do know that there's alot of gold in the Val D'or area of Quebec, straight north of the OH/PA areas...hmm...
