Gold Bug Pro 5" & 5X10 Coil On The Way:clap:

Bart at Big Boy Hobbies:thumbup: maid me a great deal on the Gold Bug Pro with a the 5" & the 5X10" coil combination, it's on the way, can't wait.:clapping: I hunt an old 1900 town sight with a ton of iron trash in the ground, the ground is dry but this place has given up some of my best finds but they are far and few between now days. (This sight has been hunted to death & is some of the worst ground that I have ever hunted). My MXT has done OK and produced some good finds but it's really chatty, my XLT did OK, the AT Pro on the other hand has done a fair job there handling the iron trash a bit better and it's a lot quieter than the MXT.( No detector is perfect) With that being said I hope the Gold Bug Pro with its reputation for performance in iron trash infested areas can even produce a little better in this old 1900 area than the detectors I listed because when this sight gives up an old item it's worth all the hard work and grief it takes to hunt it.

I needed another detector like I needed a hole in my head He He!!! :surprised: but Bart did me a good deal and was great to talk too and very informative. I spent a ton of time talking with him about different things, Thanks Bart. Now let's hope the wife does not shoot me, :ranting: duck & run I say, it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission in this case...:starwars:

Thanks Bart,

It may not be a LOL moment for me :surrender: but I will survive the wife's pretty darn good to me. Nice video, and I plan to have fun. Other than the handle and rod configurations on the detectors and the brand name plate & color looks like the Gold Bug Pro & the G2 are pretty much the same in function like you said. I will keep you posted as I get out and put some time on the detector as the work schedule allows. I do like the way the video shows the functions of the detector, looks to be pretty straight forward. I believe simple and straight forward is better most of the time, some of these detectors out now have got to many functions that rarely get used. I look forward to giving it a run for the money in that old iron trash that I talked about.

Hey Bill --

I look forward to hearing your reports on how you do in your town site with the Gold Bug Pro. Sounds like you've run alot of detectors through there, and the finds have become sparse. I believe the GB Pro will turn up some new finds for you -- let us know!

Update. My luck was good, I talked with the wife at lunch today about my little purchase. She said cool that's what you like to do now go find something old because those finds are way cooler than modern ones.:inlove: I came out smelling like a rose my wife's pretty good to me most all of the time. If I found her a nice ring though it would go a long ways if you know what I mean...:clapping:

What's funny is when I find a ring and it's in the pile with coins. I swear my wife can spot it through the wall and immediately comes in to inspect it. The G2 and GB Pro are the same electronically. I prefer the GB Pro handle.

Too Funny.... Yes wife's are funny that way :inlove: I also like the GB handle too. The GB has a lower center of gravity over the G2 with its handle configuration less likely to fall over on it's side when set down during hunting when digging a target...
