Gold Bug 2 Future?

Can someone please give me the current status of the Gold Bug 2?

I had to fall away from detecting for awhile due to a personal tragedy, but I'mslowly working my way back in.

Is it still in production or is it being replaced?

Dave J, I don't guess you would be allowed to answer this one.

I just remember most dealers ran out of GB2's earlier this year and that it was anticipated there would be a long wait for its return.
 
Well, no answer, so I assume the GB2's future continues to be bright!
 
The Gold Bug 2 is still in production but as an old analog design it's future is in doubt. If certain components cannot be sourced the unit will no longer be available, but it is anybody's guess as to when that might happen. I have two just in case!
