gold audio tones....

I have had my x-70 for a year now and have found a lot of neat stuff. I have some questions about the audio tones for gold jewelry and the id numbers. I found a mens gold nugget ring that showed a 10. My gold wedding band comes in at a 26 and a child's gold ring came in at 6. I have a hard time deciding what is junk and what are good gold targets.....any info would be helpful!!

This ol' geezer digsitall, CAUSE, all jewelry is all shapes and sizes, AWW shucks u knew that anyway, watches, necklaces, rings, pendants, never found any the same ID #'s, just digumup

I mainly hunt nuggets and natural gold in quartz but have noticed Id numbers can range or vary greatly. I have had gold range from 6 to 28 when hunting and cross checked in disc mode from prospecting mode.
