Gold and the SOV GT????

grumpy

New member
Morning;
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the SOV GT would work with any sucess on nugget shooting????? We have one and are planning on getting another for a backup we like them so well but if we decide to go out in our hills and look for a few nuggets are they worth the time in this area?
Anyone with any experience in this we would love to hear from you. Depth, size of nugget and ect ?
Thanks much
Grumpy

i have found many split shot @5" with my GT but thats led ,iv not found any ear ring backs with it but i have found many small backs of gold with my Tesoro Tiger Shark.

Yes it will find gold nuggets ( that's what the G stands for in G/T SOV. ) but I think if you are hunting
in very heavy monetized ground it will not , due to it's short range of ground balance ability but that
is just my opinion. I have and use other gold detectors ( minelab SD2200d, XT18000, Garrett Gold Stinger )
and they have better G/B ability by far and that gives them better depth as well. If where you are going to
hunt has only mild soil then the G/T may do OK but I would feel much better using one that is for gold
rather than a all purpose one ( Manufactures claim not mine! ) Anytime I am in gold country and swinging
a detector you can bet the farm it will be the three I listed above and used in that order! HH! and GOOD LUCK
