Another great day detecting. One 14K Gold ladies ring with 6 small diamonds and a nice amethyst stone. two sliver rings and two silver ear rings. also a 1935 Mercury dime. Gene

Hey there ya go Gene, reckon it was about time ya got the gold.:clapping:
Perseverance is the key to this great hobby of ours and you just proved it greatly.
Been doing a lot of chores around the house and its getting time to pack the Excal and
head off. Just got permission to detect an old house up the road from where I live.
Will post any findings this evening, but I don't think it's as good as those gold rings.
Good luck on future hunt's mate, Cheers and HH.

Aushunter,

Thanks, I guess I've got a great beach. Over the last seven months I've detected that beach I've got Ten Gold rings 26 Silver rings and over $400.00 dollars in change. But only two silver coins, one 1951 half dollar, and today a 1935 Mercy dime. Hope ya do well at that old house. Gene

Gudday Gene,
Well I only got an hour in this arvo, but it was enough to keep me happy.
I only got to detect about a third of the property, so I will get back to it soon to finish it off.
I still couldn't get away from the lead either, (in the form of nail heads for roofing nails).
scored a few decimal coinage but I couldn't pull any pre-decimal coinage.
Also a few other odds and ends, but that goes with the territory.
All my modern coinage goes in the kitty to either get a new Soveriegn or a new
Bow mount electric motor for the boat. mmmmmm which one as I like them both.
Check the little skull:confused:
Any it's 10:30 at night and it's time to watch the blanket show,
Cheers and good hunting Gene.
