Gold and Silver Jewelry

Treasure Mike

New member
These are the gold and silver jewelry items I have found since I bought my MXT last September. I also found several foreign coins, Euros, Pesos etc. along with about $300 in clad. Not to mention the hundreds of pull tabs and other bits of aluminum and junk. Looking at getting into fresh water detecting this spring. The top row is the silver rings and the bottom is gold rings. Last October I sold two gold rings and a 18 K gold necklace with pendant to buy a Big Foot coil. I use it to hunt sports fields and wide open places like parks.

I found these in parks and sports fields. A few were found on top of the grass and in wood chip play areas. The rest came from the sports playing fields. I am interested in trying water hunting since I have heard that this is where your best chance of finding jewelry is. Saving up now for a water detector. There are quite a few lakes here in the Seattle area that have picnic and swimming areas that I would like to search.

where do you live I will move there. Im not so lucky I only detect on a beach in New York and have a little luck with gold and silver, keep up the good work. Im going to try some spots in New Jersey. Hope I do well. Only had my MXT about 4 months, still learning. Have a good hunt. Joe

GET INTO THE WATER!!!

You'll have better chance on getting gold in the form of a ring. I've found a number of rings from 1" to 2 feet in the water. Being in NJ, you have a lot of older land and history that you can hunt. (LUCKY)!

I'm in MI and am finding a lot of 'items'. Having fun with my MXT as to the point of not knowing what I'll find next.

If you get a silver ring it's best to closely check it. The ring might be platinum which is worth double the price of gold. Look for PLAT on the ring.

Good luck and have fun. (Don't get frustrated)
