Gold and Silver Jewelry Finds

Treasure Mike

New member
Had a good week for for some gold and silver jewelry. Found the .925 silver ring at a park. It registered 81 on the VDI meter. The two gold rings were found near the sidelines at football/soccer fields. Both registered at 20-22. The gold plated emerald ring (with plating coming off) was found at a playground in the wood chips. At first I thought I had found a good one but not so. Found my first Singapore dollar at a grade school play field. It registered at 60. The gold crucifix I found tonight at a soccer field and it registered 8-10. I wasn't going to dig it but the signal was strong since it was barely under the surface. It tested 10 K with the Mizar gold tester. The small gold pendant- 1 gram- tested at 18K. The other crucifix is silver plated and was found in the tot lot wood chips. All these finds were located from barely under the surface to a maximum of 3 inches deep. Good hunting to all! Mike

Congratulations Mike,
Finding jewelry always causes at least a big smile. You do seem to smile more than most of us. I am still working on it though.
Thanks for your tips. Following them has improved my good finds. No gold yet, but I haven't gotten out as much lately as usual. Have dug lots of foil and pull tabs but still believe my odds are better.
