Gold and diamonds.:clapping:

Went out to a small lake about a mile from my place and did some shallow water detecting. I hit the little sandy beach area first and got the usual pulltabs and bottle caps and a little bit of clad. Then I decided to try the water for awhile. Got some more pulltabs and then I got this real low sounding target. I switched over to digital and it was only reading 1. I usually don't bother with this low of a target, but in the water you want to dig just about everything and I learned a lesson by doing so. I made a scoop with sand scoop, swished it around a few times and there staring back at me was this little 14kt white gold ring that had five diamonds in it.:clapping: It sure made my day and then it made me sick to my stomach to think about all the other number 1 targets I passed up that could have also been small gold rings or other small gold jewelry. Sure, most of them would have been just junk, but you just never know when a gold ring will pop out. Don't have to tell you that my wife took a liking to that ring real quick. Thanks for looking fellows and good luck to all of you. HH.

Awesome find Eddie.

I dig all low tone/nickel targets ... found some nice old nickels and junk of course. Someday I'll see that glitter !

That's a fine dig Ed  I too often wonder how many pieces of gold I'm passing over.

excellent eddie you got me wondering about the ones that i pass up dig lots of nickle signals and get nickles but dont dig ones i,ll now re think that thank you on the info

Looks like a super low foil reading.....want to get those gold chains missing a cross or pendant to bring up the non ferrous reading just might come up in the ferrous range....so again disc. low and dig all to get the ones the other guys pass over....white gold comes in super low and if yellow would have been a 4 or 5 judging by its size....

Nice ring, Eddie

I dig a lot of consistent low tones, but pass up on the broken tones with particularly jumpy numbers.

Do you guys find that the Gold is typically constant and not to jumpy? I have only dug 1 Gold ring so far.
