Gold 14K Ring....2nd for 2015!

Did a little detecting in a local park that gave me a gold ring awhile back. I zero-ed in on an area that some guys play soccer on the weekends. I was getting lot's of dime and quarter signals so I knew there had been coin spills and lot's of past activity. I eyed 2 small shrubs that I figured were used for 'goal' posts and got the solid signal near one of the shrubs. It's just a light weight ring but as they say, gold is gold and I'm happy I was able to snag it!:wiggle: Just about an inch down in the dirt! It has 2 diamond chips in but unfortunately, the middle one is missing but they are only small size so no loss!

Thanks G.S. yep, that yella' stuff gets the adrenalin pumping through the veins!!!:clapping:

Great find. Nothing like a soccer field. I love em. Why do you think that ring is so light? Is it quite thin?

Thats a fine trophy there!...I like how you think as you hunt...and were rewarded for it!:clapping:
Mud

Certainly living up to your name...i like the picture that shows all the greenery even better than the gold picture ... so tired of white but i aint got nothing to complain about compared to those poor new england folks... congrats on a great find...

Thanks Mud and B.H.P! The ring is a lightweight but I'm still sure glad to get it! Yes, this weather is perfect for detecting and I'm thankful it gives us here on the West Coast, a lot of opportunity to get out and detect which is great and lifts the spirit! As much as I could go out and detect, life goes on and there is much to take care of. Currently, we are babysitting grandkids with the daughter going in for surgery etc; so just like anyone else, there are life's everyday challenges and metal detecting (when I can) is great therapy for the mind and body! I suspect many of you out there know exactly what I mean:thumbup:

You just gotta love "Fut Ball"

Congrats! Still looking for my 1st ring. Went to a park yesterday that had a soccer field. I started in the tot lot and made my way towards the soccer field but ran out of time plus the restrooms were not open yet!

Nolanation......sorry about that......yes, it is thin and although it's fairly wide, it's just that it's on the thin side. It is stamped 14KP which as you know is 14 karat plumb which means it's definately 14K certified gold for sure. Thanks for asking!
