Gold 1

Have any of you that hunt in parks (black non-mineralized dirt) experimented with Gold One setting?

As soon as the weather settles down I plan to give it a go....meanwhile I thought maybe some of you might have tried it.

Yes, and its useless. If you think parks have too much trash now, wait until you can hear every sub-gram dot of foil, every splinter of iron, etc.

Did you any lower frequencies with it?

Gold 1 is designed for detecting gold nuggets in gold fields. Its means that since tiny pieces of metal near the surface, you would go crazy with the number of sounds the Equinox will make on a park or any other place where there is a lot of metallic trash.

Right, but I'm used to that. With a lower frequency I think that maybe with the all metal "pitch" mode that gold 2 has might work by ignoring the louder signals and working on the fainter deep signals. Anyway I think I'll try it. Or I'll just go nuts with it and give up.

Cabin fever causes all of bad ideas.
