I have pondered about this for quiet some time. I have had a few VID machines in the past, and recently traded one away for a beep and dig unit. I don't really have a regret so much as I just miss having a VID unit. I have discovered that having all beep and dig machines just isn't for me. With all that said, I have done a lot of research and decided that an M6 is in my future. I have had a hard time finding anything negative about it anywhere on the forums. I do not relic hunt at all, so I have no need to get an MXT. Now I just have to wait for funds, and a decent used machine, or a good trade deal. Thanks for listening to my excitement rant :)

Good choice Buck!! Go to ahrps.org and talk to Monte. He has a treasure chest of knowledge....he's been MDing since day one.:super:

I only have ever heard of one M6 owner having negative things to say about that detector, and it sounded like he had a malfunctioning unit.

The positives I have heard about the M6 are overwhelming.

[size=large]my understanding of the differances between the MXT and the M-6 is that you have prospecting mode on the MXT. otherwise whether you do relic hunting or not you still will have the machine to do it with. hope you get a great price on one.

M6 is an excellent Coin & Jewerly detector. You'll be very pleased. I liked it so well I bought two.

Thanks everyone for the input. It will probably be a few months until the funds are lined up for a purchase. I have already had a few offers sent to me on some used machines. All very much appreciated.
