I am buying the Bandido II uMAX and comes with the 8" and 7" coil. Would the 5" coil be needed , i'm thinking with the 7" it may not ? Anyways anything i should know about this machine ? This will be my 1st beep and dig unit. Thanks guys, GS
 
If it comes with the 7" concentric coil, that would be my main use coil.

as far as tips go, learn to ground balance, use low disc. whenever posible and swing slowly.

It is a very deep machine when used with high sensitivity into the orange boost, if it's unstable, reduce sensitivity slightly.

If the area is sparse of targets, I like to hunt in auto tuned all-metal, then when I get a signal, flip it to motion disc. mode to check target at a level of disc. that I have set up.

I know that it is hot on small gold, I found a small gold cross with stones at 8" deep the first week I got it, I was using minimun disc. at the time.

Then about a week later, I was in an old house yard, I was in a hurry with very little time to do a good job and had about 30 minutes left of daylight.

I set the disc. to knock out a beavertail pulltab ( 7

The 7" coil is definitely a winner in my books. But not nearly as much as a user well acquainted with the all-metal mode.
