anybody ever been there? What can I expect? Pirate Treasure?
 
Didn't get any gold on the trip but found a lot of clad & sinkers. I only had my DFX at the time and did not own my Surfmaster PI Pro. I bet if I had owned my PI then, I would have brought home the gold. There are lots of locals who detect so the pickings now would be any old targets brought up by the storms. In the Summer the beach is packed either side of the pier. Lots of swimmers.
