Going to the UK next year and bringing the MXT

Hey,

The wife and I are planning on taking a trip to the UK mainly in Scotland next year. It has been a long time dream to revisit the UK. I worked on oil rigs there backin the 70's. I bought the MXT about 4 mos. ago and cannot pass up the opportunity to metal detect over there. The wife will go to quilt stores and me to the "sites". Maybe I can find a coil or relic older than 230 years old. lol Why should the brits have all the fun.
I have a question. Is there an MXT designed for the Uk coins in coin and relic mode. Is the software rewritten to show UK coins or euros rather than penny, nickel, dime, etc... ? Just a thought.

The MXT VDI numbers are in sync with the American coins.
Up here in Canada they will not ID the same.
Our currency has different metal content.
If you buy the MXT in England they may have the detector reading the right VDI to there coins.
Likely you'll be digging most targets till you get use to their coins reading on the MXT.

That's great that you're going to fulfill your dream. Like Joel said, "Likely you'll be digging most targets till you get use to their coins reading on the MXT." It shouldn't take you long to determine what denomination is under your coil. HH until then, Nancy

Heres what you've got to look forward too - be aware though these 800 year old silver coins come in at very low numbers - especially the small ones - often also read as foil - so if jumping from 0 - 6 pay attention - Gaz.

Sounds great but you might want to check out there export LAWS you can't bring home coins or artifacts unless first reported to goverment for export. There very serious about this if caught a stif fine or possible jail time..Checkout the detecting in Colchester site for more info on Export Laws .
