Going to take 2 or 3 months off from detecting :-((

Earlier this year you seen my posts with my new Xterra 305. Great machine, and I love it.
Everyone was very helpful in my decision to get one.
Was out a few times and was very pleased with its performance, and I'm super glad l bought it.

You probably ask why would I want to take time off from detecting?
In 2008 I had my second stent put into my LAD arterie. Well last week we took a cruise to the southern caribbean.
Had a great time, but had trouble keeping up with my wife and I didn't say anything to her.
Well when we got home I was still having trouble breathing when coming up from downstairs after helping her with the laundry.
Went to the hospital and this Monday I'm scheduled for double bypass.
Really pisses me off. Last year I had to have knee surgery and that killed most of the summer, now this.
As always I say Happy Hunting.

I have two elderly mates who've have had by-pass ops.....triple and quad..and now they're like Spring chickens!!!


You may not be keeping pace with your wife right now, but just you wait until a month after your op...

You'll be chasing ALL the wives in your locality.

We will all be cheering for you and leaving a few deep coins just so you can really get swinging again.

I had double bypass in 1990, allowed 25 gram or less of fat per day, When I go off that diet, I end up with a stent, Got 3 stents so far, doing great, would be better were I to lose about 20 lbs. Good luck, they can do wonders nowadays

Hi Bruce.......just to let you know I also have had a triple bypass just on 10 years ago ,now at the grand age of 59 I am leaping around like a new born lamb with more energy than ever.Technology sure is great nowadays,all the best and hear from you soon...........
