going to North hollywood CA

I am going to North hollywood Ca next sunday I was wondering if anyone nows of a place where you can pan for gold close to this area. I would appricate any information that anyone can give me or take me out with them if they are panning. I have joined the GPAA and waiting on my information from them. Thanks Hopesdad
 
You would be better off hitting the beaches with your metal detector. Don't know of any gold panning in Hollywood.
 
Do some research on Azusa Canyon in Azusa. You would take the 134 freeway east to Azusa Blvd (think it's HWY 39) and go towards the mountains. I still think the pan for gold up on the east fork. You're about 45 minutes to an hour away from North Hollywood depending on the traffic.

I have heard there are a few Gold Diggers in the Hollywood area (LOL)
