going to Frico

Hey Y'all,
I'm getting ready to go to the Outer Banks (Frisco) and was wondering if anyone knew what the laws would be for metal detecting there....I've read some things that lean toward not being able to on the beach, but what about the campground?

Metal detecting minds want to know........:detecting:

Im In NC The state laws here are strict Im not familiar w/ Frisco But any state owned historical land is not worth what they would fine you and possibly a prison sentence. If there was any Civil War activty along the coast there you can bet MDing is not allowed. I know around Wilmington there are lots of no MDing signs. You could research the state historical society on line Maybe you could call someone from the area and find out something.
