going to Folly Beach in Late Sept 09 - ID Edge Settings?

Hi,

I am going to Folly Beach during the last part of this September. First time with a metal detector.

My inclination is to put my Fisher ID Edge in the "All Metal" mode and start walking and swinging. I have read "water hunting" secrets of the pros by Clive James Clynick and picked up some good info.
Have the low tide printouts for the 3 days I will be there. I have a OK hand sand scoop and a good Lesche inch shovel with 30" handle. Most people I see in videos use their long sand scoop to just dig and dump, so I think the Lesche shovel can do as well in the wet packed sand.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

set up the edge in cp dis at -1 sen at plus5 to start after ground bal run sen up til you just start to get some falseing then go down one number that should get you the goods ,you will still get some screw caps but it should hit hard and deep with this setting if you have a large coil use it with this and get some really deep stuff,if it beeps dig it some will be junk as we all get that but you should have a good to bad of about 80% to 20% good luck and show us the loot when you get back good luck and hh
