Going to Florida Soon, Daytona & Titusville, Where to Hunt?

OUTATIME

I'm headin down to Florida in a couple of weeks, wanted to know if anyone here knew of a good place to stop and metal detect. I'll be in Titusville mostly, but I was thinking about stopping again on the way back up - possibly Daytona.

Any suggestions about where to detect?

Went near Ron Jon's surf shop the last time I was in Titusville. Didn't find much, but didn't get to detect long either.

Also, is Daytona a good place to detect? Do the college kids still do spring break there? Or am I better off going somewhere else?

Any advice would be appreciated...
Thanks,

Mark

Didnt have much luck while in Cocoa either, same area and I havent been to Daytona yet, but if you head south an hour you can hit Melborne beach.

I suggest checking out where the spring break crowds are hanging out at Daytona Beach. Probably north of the main street pier. If you want their loot, it will be mostly dry sand. Go before sunset or at sunrise and beat the other MDer's. If it is stormy weather, cruise the beach and look for holes. There are usually some nice ones that form one block s. of splash park. It seems like most MDer's go to Splash Park and head north toward the pier. That's just my two cents worth. I hope it can help you.
