I am getting pumped up as Deus Boot-Camp is just days away. Looking forward
to learning much about the Deus and it functions and abilities. Two great guys
running the Seminar and hunt afterwards. Looking forward to meeting some
really good treasure hunters and enjoying the days events. Should be a great time
to be had by all those who are attending and I am really looking forward to it.
It's an 8 hour drive but I don't mind. Don't have a whole lot of time using the Deus
but the short 10 hours I have on this unit, have proven to me already that this
DEUS is just AWESOME!!! A machine for all situations... Thanks for letting me
ramble on and HOPE to meet some of you posters on the Deus if your in attendance.
Will be hooking up with my partner from the Depot relic hunt I met a few years ago. It
will be great to see my old Buddy who is a wizard with the Deus. He is just good with it!!!
Anyway hope to meet some of you guys....

Wish I was going! I live in Milwaukee Wi. and wanted to go, but I was hoping that there will another bootcamp closer. Maybe in the near future. It sounds like fun and I hope it will expand your knowledge of the Deus. Keep us informed and have a good time.

from Bob.

I'm in California so the trip is .......
I hope and suggested that it be Videoed.
I've had my Deus for a few years and still learning. (read slow learner)
I hope that some of the attendees with shoot some video and post it for us to learn from.

That's Great! I wanted to go, but we have other things going on at the time. I did e-mail Andy to ask him about a bootcamp in my area. Haven't heard anything back yet. Have FUN and Learn a LOT!

Hey ya'll,
I'll try to post about events that take place at Boot Camp.
I wouldn't think vid. cams would be allowed though as
this defeats the purpose of the guys giving it. Will give
a brief report when I return home but for now ,It's off
to Tennesee!!! Looking forward to tomorrow even though
their calling for RAIN!!! Oh well, you can't have it all...

I will let those that attended post their feedback and perspective on the day's events but the general consensus at the end of the day was extremely positive. The weather held and the humidity that had been in the area for the past week was gone making the in-field session perfect for a few hours of digging.

We covered a lot of material and the foundation it built is what makes understanding the nuances of the machine much clearer - everyone picked up a few tricks that were new.

We are in the planning stages for future bootcamps in different areas - interest will drive locations and dates so if there is interest, please let us know.

As far as video taping and posting on YouTube, we are not planning on doing that for several reasons including trying to get release forms from attendees, stiffling questions from those that came and yes, keeping it fair to those that put in the effort to attend. We hope everyone understands this position.

We wanted to post a photo of the group when we hit the field to put techniques into practice.

We are trying to lay out logistics to get to areas where those that are interested can attend within reasonable travel distance. A lot goes into finding the right location (hotel / meeting room and adjacent hunt site) as well as a date (found out about the UT football schedule setting this one up) but we are working on locking dates / locations down.

As far as videotaping the sessions, we are not doing that for the reasons listed above and the fact that the sessions are interactive - questions and attendees drive the final agenda in terms of what features they have questions on and what they want to see demonstrated. A questionaire was sent out in advance to see what people wanted to go over in detail and that forged the areas covered. Future classes will stress different areas based on the attendees, what they want to see and what they hunt for. For example, a class in California will not be covering how to setup your detector to hunt for Civil War relics in hot red soil like that found in Atlanta or Virginia. Just as a class in Florida will not cover the Gold Field program and how to find small nuggets.

As far as the comments on posts being removed, the only ones removed were those looking for / encouraging the posting of videos of the session. We hope that everyone understands this position.

Looks like everyone had a great time. Interested to see the feedback from the class. Looks like ya had a good group. Thanks for Explaining about the posts. Just seems odd at times when stuff is removed. I will put a little more thought and give ya'll a little more credit before I complain next time :)

You could just do a video of the questions and answers with no footage of the event. I could edit it for you..

Andy I had a post deleted about coming to Laughlin, NV, as it is the meeting point for 3 states, Nevada, California and Arizona. Now Vegas is 1 hr away, Southern Utah easy drive away, L.A. Ca. is 4 hours, Pheonix is 4.5 hours away.....I am sure I am missing more distances but you get the idea.....Laughlin has many casino/hotels for guest to stay and they give group discounts. Weather is great in the "winter" here.....

SO what is the date?

LOL

Thanks for the suggestion and I received your E-mail on the location this weekend . . . although no post was delted that referenced Laughlin. We are in the process of assessing this weekend's event and fine tuning it to ensure we can be flexible enough to cover the needs of those that are in different areas of the country and hunt for different targets. The Deus is very flexible which is why settings that are dialed in for relics in Virginia are not what a meteorite hunter or ghost towner in the Werst woudl use.

We will have plans nailed down soon and annouce the dates we can support - we need to be prepared so that there are no glitches on the part of those that want to attend.

Others have proposed dates and locations and we have them on the table . . . . some appear doable while others conflict with events such as football games, NASCAR races, Spring Break . . . . finding out about all the little scheduling bumps out there.

Thanks again and we appreciate the input

Andy

I know we all want to clone you Andy, so you can come to each state and help us out, maybe think of a train a trainer program for each area so we would have a local expert. Looking forward to a boot camp in our area, Michigan. I can tell you being a 1 week Deus owner the machine and its sounds can seem a bit overwhelming at first, and I am coming from what I thought was a tough machine to learn a CTX. Thanks for all you do!!!

Hey brother we are heading you way in a couple months so be on the look out.

Duke what area are you in, I will let you know when we will be there

I am glad to see all the feedback from folks, me and andy will be getting to everyone soon, our plan is to hit a different state every month, so be on the look out. If any of you are having trouble now and need a little push in the right direction please don't hesitate to give myself or Andy a call.
