Hey guys! It's been awhile since I posted in here. As some of you may know I ended up parting ways with my V and got an E-trac a while back. I am definitely pleased with how things have turned out when hunting older sites and larger parks for the deeper silver, but one place the E-trac doesn't really shine is smaller Jewelry and gold. I decided I need something that will be killer at tot-lots and ball fields and some decent sized parks for finding those chains and rings. So I decided to get a Compadre! Should have it sometime this week. It is the version with the 5.75 coil. I don't think I can go wrong with an E-trac/Compadre combo. Looking forward to posting in here again
 
Great choice Bobby! Nothing better for the price. If you want a deeper machine that still finds small gold jewelry, the F2 with 4" coil is a deep clad killer! 8" on dimes in my local school ground, with 4" coil. Can't be beat for $215.

I actually traded the whites i had for it, so all i had to do was pay shipping. Just wanted to get something simple as backup to the E-trac
 
I think that you will fall In LOVE with the compadre. It is so easy to use and very good on them small gold items. It will surprise you a lot. It might be your main detector. Have fun with it.... KEN
