Going out Lobo'in

Wife and kids gone out to the yard sales and have the day to myself & I am goin Lob'in :) Going to a school that has a nice tot lot and lots of other ground to cover, some of you are curious of how a Lobo with a concentric coil does, I am very curious myself. I am headed out and will report back with how I did when I get back.

Ive always been intrigued by the Lobo but never pulled the trigger on one. I realize its not really de signed to be a coin machine but it seems to have a lot of raw power to sniff out some small thin silvers and such. I may eventually pick one up if I see them doing good on coins since thats strictly what I hunt. Good luck today.

Good luck to you today with the Lobo'in:) Since you posted some air test results with the 8" round concentric tomorrow I will try to post my results with the elliptical 3-5/8" x 7-1/8" concentric just to see how they compare. Good hunting!

I didn't stay out as long as I wanted, there were kids surrounding me curious of what I was doing and the ground was so dry and hard. We had one of the worst winters in years, lots of snow & frost, really surprises me how the ground got so dry so quick. The Lobl ST did well, found some clad coins, it is a very sensitive detector it screams on good targets, not really scream more like zip. I am not an all metal mode hunter but put it all metal a couple times to try, grounds balances really quick when clicked into all metal mode and the automatc ground balance keeps it right on. I put the control box under the elbow cuff and it balances great but can not get to the controls as easy. I prefer a detector's control box set up like the uMax models and especially the Tejon how they have the pinpoint switch.

I have a Tiger Shark that I bought back in the day and I use that pole with my LST so I can mount the box near the arm cuff for a more comfortable feel. I know what you mean about the controls being out of easy access once mounted that way...I have said it before and I'll say it again...Tesoro knocked a "Homerun" when they introduced the easy access, light-weight yet still powerful Micro-max design:thumbup:
