Going out for an extended detecting hunt today

I'm going to take my XS and SE Pro. Couldn't get out this week due to either rain or work.
Got the new 13" Ultimate for my Pro. Gonna see how that bad boy works.
Wish me luck or pray for me. Going down in the hood by myself. Hope no gangbangers find me.
If I never post here again, you'll know they got me.

Leaving in a few minutes myself Tony! Godspeed my friend,be careful and keep that head on a swivel. Silver is cool and all but ain't worth someone popping a cap in your ass over it. Well I'm back already! It was horrific. Drove an hour and 15 minutes to find my "awesome old ball field" filled with a foot of dirt. It's not the drive,it's the fact I didn't even bring home a wheat! Gotta regroup...

This park has yielded silver for some but none for me today.
Kept trying to find a deepie. Finally found one but it was some bent copper metal.
Oh well, there's always another day.

I drove an hour to my hunt. But it was nice getting out again and enjoy the great outdoors.

Thanks tiftaaft. I'm sure I could have found loads more if I had more time to stay there. I was trying to go after the deep hits but all there was was shallow. I have to find another, better place.

Yes yes,very similar here! 6-8" clad is what I was finding,no hits deeper than that...so that just means my site wasn't going to give it up. The weather was BEAUTIFUL yesterday,no complaints there!
We will all keep at it I'm sure,it's a matter of time and location before things fall into place. At another OLD park I DID find a dated 1860 Union Party presidential campaign token and another 1800s 5 cent store token so I am always happy to see stuff like that!

Yes yes,very similar here! 6-8" clad is what I was finding,no hits deeper than that...so that just means my site wasn't going to give it up. The weather was BEAUTIFUL yesterday,no complaints there!
We will all keep at it I'm sure,it's a matter of time and location before things fall into place. At another OLD park I DID find a dated 1860 Union Party presidential campaign token and another 1800s 5 cent store token so I am always happy to see stuff like that!

I hope to get back to an old farm today where I've found large cents, a half dime, a Jackson token, an old shield nickel with stars on it and other coins. Hopefully I can eek out another oldie and change my luck.

Went to the old farm and stepped out of the car. Turned on the detector and within a couple sweeps got a quarter, clad of course. Then a modern penny. Dug some deep iffy signals but no old coin. Maybe better luck next time.
