Hello everyone, had a few questions and maybe you can be of some assistance. My last several outings with the E-trac I have been running manual sensitivity and have been doing ok. Problem is Im not sure what my gain should be or should I have deep-off or-on? The way I have it set up now I have deep off......fast recovery on......limit 29.......gain 29....manual 22...... conductive. I hunt in older trashy parks looking for deep coins and prefer the high pitched silver tone. To simplify this whole thing Im looking for the best set up on the e-trac for deep coins, I want the deep coins to scream out loud and clear. Hope you guys can help.......thanks j.b.

I am just the opposite of you,I would rather my deep signals be faint, not loud.It catchs my attention better.I haven't noticed any loss of depth.
I run my gain at 20,fast on,deep off.

Everything is Ok, just switch off recovery fast--you dont need it, in some situations you can try sounds LONG, you will get real target sound--not shortened by ETrac.

I run with Fast = OFF and Deep = OFF because I seem to get a much more accurate ID and the E-Trac seems to respond a little quicker. In extremely trashy areas I'll use Auto + 3 Sensitivity and in cleaner areas manual Sensitivity of 26 to 29. Other than the pattern those are the only adjustments I change.
