The Gods have been at it again. I think my punishment is to clear all the beaches round here of fishing weights
Went down the beach the other day, result 6kg fishing weights and lots of old copper lures and 31p in change.
I got my own back I took 75kg to the local tackle shop which will pay for a lot of Diesel!

Good going on the fishing weights. I know the tackle shops sell them for 40 cents an ounce. 75 Kg is a lot of ounces.

Big Tony.
That is why I get so many fishing weights.
Last year checking the same areas that I would get weights I had a couple of 22kt rings and a Tungsten wedding band and on another beach I found two very old 9kt rings that weighed a total of 20gms.
My friend who does the same thing on the other coast found a coin which was 1/3 guinea or a 7 shilling piece of around 1700.
He contacted the coin company Spinks as he could not find it in their catalogue, their answer was, you will not find it as in that year none were minted, he sent them photos and next day they said it was real and offered him a lot of money, in the end he sold it for enough to buy himself a new boat.
