God tired of big headphones

I have sunglasses that are prescription and they really make it a pain to wear with my wireless headphones. I have a few pair and they all hurt after a couple of hours. I have killer ear buds for my iphone and they are the best I have ever used like them more than regular size head phones. So I though of this idea and tried them out and they are killer. My ears don't know they have buds in them. All the freq are crystal clear nice modulation. I got the deus headphone jack on Amazon. yes it has a lite weight wire but I tuck that into my top pocket and never know its there

I've got earbuds and have tried them in the remote but it's far too loud to be comfortable and the earbuds volume control will not work.

I think I'm right that if I get the adapter for the WS4 then I will be able to lower the volume using the earbuds volume control to make it comfortable.

Can anyone confirm this?

The volume on the WS4 remote is adjustable.
In addition , you could use a simple in-line volume control although that would be redundant.
I have used a similar setup with the earbuds from the waterproof kit XP sells but don't really care for earbuds. I find the best option if you don't want full cup headphones are the wired backphones XP sells used in the same manner but if you already have the WS4 remote you should also have the backphones already.

Since it goes into the headphone remote you have vol control

Depends on the type of earbuds. Most generic earbuds with volume control will probably work but Apple earbuds with volume control will not. As others have stated, the WS4's have volume control so what I use volume control earbuds on is the remote which doesn't have volume control amazingly. Using the remote in the water kit obviously requires the volume control that comes with the kit so you don't blast your ears.

Just read the Deus upgrade "wish list" and see why the remote doesn't have a volume control. Make total sense!

I agree , it is surprising that there is no volume control on the main remote. I used it a couple of times but with an in-line volume control which cost about $8. I had to trim the rubber on the male end slightly because the port on the remote is recessed slightly and it's difficult to get fully pulled in without hitting the housing. The wired backphones(WS2?) work very well that way and they have a volume control built in.

While I do prize comfort at this stage in my detecting I try my best to never compromise performance for comfort. I have, and will always use a full cupped headphone because I believe the importance of blocking out outside interference for best depth and quality of tones. My buddy uses a set of Rattler phones and I bought a pair once. I just could believe you could do as good of job with such low quality sound to noise ratio. That is why even on the Deus I prefer the WS5's over any other I've tried. That includes the Chief and Vance Muffs.

But hey, to each their own.

. So if I get a cheap in line volume control I can plug that into the remote control and be able to change volume through earbuds?

The controller that goes into your headphones has a vol this device made by deus connects to that and the mini jack hooks up to your headphones
