GOD OVER ALL THINGS....The LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. Psalm 96:4....In 1994....

Dr. Frank Seekins wrote a book called Hebrew Word Pictures. In his book Dr. Seekins speaks of the fact that every Hebrew word has a definition, and that each letter in a Hewbrew word is also a word picture and has a definition. By defining each letter within the word, and taking into consideration the root of the word, a phrase is produced that further clarifies the meaning of the word.

For instance, if we take the word fear in Hebrew, Yearah, and define each letter, considering the root of the word, we find the phrase, to see the hand of. In other words, to fear God we need to see the hand of God in all things--His sovereignty.

The Lord our God is not only God of all things, but God over all things.

God Bless!

Thanks for the info Betty. I know there is much we don't understand because we don't generally speak or read Hebrew. Wonder what language we all would be speaking had the Tower of Babel not been a cause for changing languages for lots of nations.
