Today Sherry wanted to get out of the house. Its been emotionally hard here with many things (attacks of Satan) on our family. We have gone many places since we have been up here. We decided to head east and went to Tawas City, on Tawas Bay of Lake Huron.
Had on that nice Christian shirt I mentioned earlier and yes did get several more compliments.
We stopped at an old city pier along a beach area of the harbor. I watched people as they walked around and something seemed 'special' about a couple and their children. Watched for a few minutes then did my own siteseeing.
Sherry made a comment about all the small pieces of wood at the waters edge on the beach so I went down and picked up a few pieces that were rounded and smoothed by the sand and wave action. On my way back up to Sherry to present her with the wooden pieces, I spotted a set of car keys on top of the sand and then picked them up.
As I was making my way back I again started watching people. Was looking for anyone or couple looking panic-y by their car and anyone looking intently down towards the ground - maybe searching for the keys.
Didn't see anyone but did drop off the pieces of wood to Sherry who treasures any little gift I give her. Then I continued to watch people again. Had a chance to chat up a biker and admired the silver cross he proudly displayed around his neck. Had a nice chat while still watching people. I then spotted the family I thought was 'special' for some reason. The man was walking slowly near a concession stand and his wife and children were over by the restrooms some distance away.
I approached the guy and asked if by chance he had lost his car keys. He replied he had. I then raised my hand and said "do they look anything like these?"
He sure got happy quick and then yelled to his wife "I have the keys".
He thanked me for finding the keys and I just walked back to Sherry in the van.
Being a 'resort' town on the lake near a state park that could have been a family visiting the area who were getting worried. Maybe locals? But I do know God sent Sherry and I on a trip where many people were blessed because we went and followed the Spirit to that destination.
God is great all the time and He does great things.
(and no didn't take the detector).
Oh yeah found a shiny nickel on the sidewalk as we leaving a store when we were back home. Do I really need a detector??
