God is good!

Hello all;
I know you guys don't know much about me as I have only been posting here a couple of times recently, but I wanted to share something that happened today.
You see, just before Christmas in 1994 the doctor told my wife that the baby she was carrying had spina-bifida and was setting up more tests to confirm. Well this was our first child and we were heart broken. We prayed and shared with our church and they all prayed for us and many people we never met prayed for us.
Well we got in to a children's hospital just a few days before Christmas for the further tests. It was the best Christmas ever because they said everything was fine and he was a healthy baby!!!
On May 16th 1995 he was born, 9lbs 11oz and God has blessed us with him so much in so many ways.
Getting on to today, he is in grade 4 now and is 10 years old(how time flies) and was in the Zone competition for track and field (top kids of 6 schools) in the high jump and 4x100m relay. The high jump he didn't place, but we are still proud of him for representing his school at the meet. In the relay, which was the last event of the day he ran so fast along with the rest of his team and they came in first!!!!
Well it was just a great day to see this guy running and jumping and everything when 10 1/2 years ago the doctors said he may never walk and asked us if we considered abortion. God is so great and I give Him all the glory! My son Jacob is a living testimony of God's love for us.
Sorry about the long post, but it was a great day for my family and I and I wanted to share it with you guys.

Thanks for the post as it is always wonderful how God is a powerful force in our lives - when we let Him be God.

May God continue to bless you, your wife and your son with many many more years of life and joy in the Lord.

That's right Pete!
"Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you..."
He is gracious to us when we put Him first in our lives. Thanks for the reply Pete.
HH and God bless,

I'm from St. Catharines Ontario. I may be Canadian, but I don't play hockey (although I do like to watch it), I don't drink beer, I don't hate Americans or their president...in fact I don't think I fit in here.
Actually I have a friend who lives in Grand Rapids Mi. and is holding my Sovereign XS for me right now. I hope he finds some stuff with it.
Happy Memorial Day!
