god be with you all in ill with all the bad weather

Peoria and Washington got hit hard. Prayers to all let us know if you are all ok

It missed us by a couple miles. Pink insulation is scattered around not far from our house. We stood outside and listened to a constant throbbing roar for 3 minutes or more. Later we took a short drive through the country and saw several destroyed houses and more houses still in good shape with the outbuildings just a few yards from them totally destroyed. Washington, Il. got hit hard with at least 1 confirmed dead and almost 40 injured.

We are very lucky hit 4 blocks away, and we only lost a couple tree limbs and power for about 8hrs.

This is one of those events where you hug your family a little tighter when you get home. Thoughts and prayers to anybody directly harmed by this storm.

We just got power back on 8:45 this AM and all is OK in Eureka. We have three kids and 7 grandkids that live in Washington and all are fine. One daughter lives in the Devonshire subdivision that got hit the hardest but her house is OK, not so good across the street from her though.

We went hunting yesterday morning and when we got back we saw this big black cloud just West of us (Washington) and heard rolling thunder like noise from it for several minutes. It didn't occur to us that was the sound of the tornado.... never heard anything like it before. That was the freight train sound others have said that is what a tornado sounds like. I didn't think much of it at the time but now just thinking of it raises the hair on the back of my neck.

Hope all members in the Pekin area are doing OK.........

My boss lives on Bloomington Rd in E. Peoria and got some damage to his house. He said 5 houses down got hit hard. There are 2 people in our group that lived in the Washington area that got hit hardest and the only thing left of their house is the foundation. But on a good note they are all just fine!

we live just 5 blocks from sheridan rd in pekin just missed our house my wife and I were in church when it hit here in pekin thank god for that hu hotrod-john

Thank you for the prayers. So many have lost their homes, pets, everything. Also the communities are helping in any way we can.
