WELL I picked up a mint like new X2/Tesoro made, coil, rods etc just as clean and new looking as day see was born.Of course she isn't working right.Won't air bench test coins past 5 inches.Buried a dollar coin 6 inches in dirt ,wouldn't pick it up.Go figure,no sign of hardly ever been used, and shes out of whack .Took it to post office to ship back to Tesoro for a tune up or what ales her.Forgot that USPS raised parcel rates.:surprised::yikes: a whooping $22.50 for 3 pounds package. Heck I only shipped the upper control box shaft and super 7 thin coil. For that money I think UPS would have been cheaper. Got hit five in change to insure it alone,I'm in the red with this detector already and haven't even got to use it. Go figure the price we pay to go play,I'll need to find a nice gold ring to break even when I get her back from Tesoro.Besides i have found 1 sliver ring,1 silver mens necklace,1 titanium wedding band. I'm do for a gold ring or something next right? Anyhow go figure....

that's highway robbery !!!

I don,t think it would be any cheaper to send it UPS, last time i sent just a coil box and all was 11/2 LB it was 11.97 with out insured. Good Luck with it when you get it back. Flintstone

No...I don't think UPS would be cheaper....USPS keeps everyone else's prices in control. UPS delivered a pkg to me yesterday (my backup Garrett Propointer) and said that at his job they were saying that if USPS folded then they could really raise prices on their services. And there's places, such as parts in Alaska that they don't deliver to...cost too much....that USPS is required to. If USPS raises prices then everyone else is SOON to follow.

Hey "All" Y'all, let's keep this(and those to come) price hike in mind and be "cool" about things" when", and "IF" Tesoro has to start charging something for when they return our repaired machines etc .It is already a huge favor they do for their folks in not only mostly free repairs and free returns,so when we begin to feel the "load", we should understand their feeling it even moreso. Tesoro has for all their years provided us with that "Free Lunch", so if becomes not so free, let's take it all in stride and be hopeful/thankful that Tesoro is still there for us and remember we are all in the same leaky boat. HH, Charlie

I don't know how much longer a lot of the sponsors and dealers will be able to offer free shipping on detector purchases. Most everyone will have the same price on a detector then offer free shipping, but if rates keep going up then I don't see how they can continue to do it. Something will have to give, the shipping will either not be free or we will see it covered in the detector price.

I just printed out a USPS label for a Minelab sd2200d and accessories.. over $50.00 !!!!! and still have to go the post office and purchase an additional $1700 of insurance.....

Something is wrong, did you get opyioonal services ypu did not need? I can ship it USPS from NY to Prescott for $15.70 parcel post, insured.
Or just the coil and control box for the same amount in a flat rate Priority box, insured.
