At $449 its all metal no dic, silent, for that price be better getting a Sand Shark pi $549 i, was looling to buy a entry level gold detecter. what do you think?
 
Big mistake to buy a PI to gold hunt without a ground balance control.
 
I also looked at the GMZ from what i could tell it is a no frills GMT which is a great gold detector. I would take the GMZ over the Sand Shark PI in a heart beat. If you want a PI gold machine save your money and get a Whites TDI or an Infinium LS with ground track and disc. A used Infinium goes for around 600-650 in good shape.
