Hi my first time on here, I live in Colorado and plan on going back to Alaska again for the summer. I am going to buy a metal detector to look for gold. Is the gold master the best one to buy for this? I don't know anything about this but i want to learn and have some fun :) please help. thank you.

That depends on your budget. You should get a price range in mind and see what falls in there. Gold detectors can reach over 3000.00 .

Hi Linda,

Try here... http://bb.bbboy.net/alaskagoldforum-viewthread?forum=2&thread=349

The GMT was the best selling detector in Alaska in 2005, because it does work very well in many areas up here.
