Getting old, I forget a lot.. I was told at a GPAA Show, that three things cause a GM4B to falsify> every thing I touch with the coil, sets off a signal.. Can someone please shake me up, and tell me what they are? I know one of the things was sensitivity- the other two ,I'm lost on...Thanks !

coil wire not secure at the control box or coil wire moving around by the coil orrrrrrrrr bad coil--windings have been known to come loose---I would start there---hope this helps---Mike C...AZ

I know what you mean, all I have to do is bump thick grass or a slender weed and i get a false signal. I saw something i am going to try. your cable from the the coil to the middle joint of your shaft only has 1 turn and is secured tight, then above that you wind the rest of the cable tightly and secure it . I'm glad I'm not the only one that has experienced this problem. as soon as my arm heals I'm going to try this.
