Stopped there friday on the way to my girlfriends. Found a 1902 indian and some wheats. As i was leaving a sherrifs deputy stopped me and asked some questions. Apparently he was working a murder investigation and a suspect said he dumped the weapons in the woods at the park. If you find any knives or guns that looked stashed please contact the sherrifs dept. Not sure if they found what they were looking for after i left. Happy hunting.

And try not to handle them. Did you mention the crime you witnessed the other day?

Congrats on the finds. The PATH Club has helped out the Peoria County Sheriff's Dept. before trying to find evidence and a weapon in a murder crime. Remember the Larry Bright case? That's the one. Larry found a ring without the stone that was one of the victims. Then we searched a ditch outside of Peoria to find a small screwdriver that one of the gals stabbed him with while trying to get away. Couldn't ever find that though. The whole experience was quite interesting. HH, Nancy

I bet that park sure changes when the sun goes down, I wouldn't want to be there to find out though.

Again, please have your Police phone contact list with you in case you find such items so you don't have to disturb them much. Call Law Enforsement and let the CSI Team handle it.
