1st post here and this is a fantastic forum with a wealth of information. I have been swining an XS for the last 10 years, but decided it was time to upgrade. Ordered an Etrac from Ralph @ sunray on Monday and it showed up Tuesday. Been reading this forum for the last couple weeks and the finds are impressive. Hooked the coil up to the control box to play with it a little and it is very easy to navigate and set up my 1st program and did some air testing to get used to the numbers. It will still be about a week and a half before I will get to use it since I got a X-1 being set up on the shaft. The dector came directly from a distributor so I had to wait to get the probe installed. Anxious to get out and swing this thing. Ready to post that 1st silver.

The funny thing is I've just started metal detecting and to here you, with a bit more experience, be so excited is pretty awesome! Certainly seems to be a hobby that keeps interest!! By the way, Welcome

Thank you everyone. I had slacked off detecting the last few years, but one of my girls asked me to take her detecting. I picked up a new MXt Pro for her to use and figured I could play around with it also. That got that fire burning again. After doing a lot of research on the Etrac, decided that was the way to go for me. I got a feeling that all those old sites are going to be new sites again.
