Night hunting in water can be hard to see your coil to pinpoint. So giving it a paint job with flercent paint helps BIG TIME. It is hard enough it see with a headlamp that black CTX 3030 17" coil and the mud string up. Now I can see it very well and able to pinpoint with EZZZZ's. :detecting:

Neat idea..

Nice!

Wonder if you stuck on some strips of Solas reflective tape, if the head lamp would hit it under water?

Maybe mount a waterproof light on the upper shaft (below the water line) aimed down at the coil would also make it really ((((POP)))).

I can see it very well and able to pinpointing is 100 times better with light on my head. Reflective tape I don't think it would work. It would create to much glare and would be to bright with the light hitting it. There Enif glare coming from the water ! don't need more glare. I think that light on the shaft would work tho. But it would create drag in the water. Thanks for the input

Any light source mounted on the shaft, even the upper could have adverse effects on signals. Of course, there is always reflective paint, so long as it does not contain metallic particles.
