Give 'em a hand - an opal day

A short hunt at the beach today (2.5 hours). Fine, cold weather. Usual baseball teams training there. Also watched a big group of children doing karate training in the sea!!
Youngest son (using an Ace 150) did well with two silver and one 18K ring, plus some coins - top two pics. <img src="/metal/html/clap.gif" border=0 width=20 height=30 alt=":clap">
Eldest son (also on an Ace 150) dipped out, so doesn't want to show his face. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> A few coins is way better than none though. <img src="/metal/html/clap.gif" border=0 width=20 height=30 alt=":clap">
I also got two silver rings and one 18K with a nice little opal and diamond using the Sea Hunter Mark II.
About the equivalent of US$12 in coins.
They are having a LOT of fun with their 150's and it beats TV games any day. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">

Great job IAN working with your sons. They'll probably have a lifelong interest in this great hobby.
Perhaps the older boy is coming to an age where there are other distractions available on the beach!
Best of luck, and keep on posting those finds. Our season is about closed due to weather, and it's great to see the finds of those who are not restricted by cold damp weather.

You guys are doing quite nice with the jewellry. Keep those pics coming!

You guys are really doing well Ian, keep it up.
Nice to see the boys so excited about the hobby!
Those Ace 150's are really doing the job over there for them.
Look forward to more post's!
Ron
