I am so excited I am shaking a bit lol. I went and found where there cabins used to be before being knocked down and the eating areas. I was out 45 minutes and had to leave but I sure did not want to. This place must be virgin territory and its deep in the woods over grown by trees now just looks like a forest. There is well pumps out in the middle of nowhere where they had campsites.

Well here is what was found in such a short time. This place just might be loaded with silver.

1911 quarter
1943, 1934, 1950 quarters
1963, 1964 dimes
1945 merc dime and a 1924 merc dime
1972 dollar
1967 1952 and 1972 half dollars
1943 wheat steel penny??

Not sure what is all silver or if they good dates but this time out was unreal. I could not beleive what I was finding. When I usually find junk!!!!!!

Stix

I have a girl scout camp within 10 minutes of my house. I wonder if I could find what you have found at this spot. I will have to do some research and find out how old this place is. It is still being used. Man you definately have me pumped! Look at all that silver!

You lucky dog

Don't tell anyone your spot have it all to your self. You deserve it. Those are rare spots when found.

Good luck on future finds

Don

Looks to be a unhunted spot .
Work that one as much as you can and take your tme and enjoy it.:detecting:

Thanks :) This place is huge tho and been abandoned girlscout camp for over 20 years now. Owned by a landowner who only uses it to hunt so my time there is about up as deer season starts!!!!! Just when I find the spots I must wait till spring. I got one more hunt there before I am done. He hunts till end of november. Wish I could dig in frozen ground :p

The area is 250 or so acres and I have not even searched the beach area on a private lake. This place is huge and had cabins and outhouses all throughout the area. I happened by this spot by chance. I am so ready to get back out there :detecting:

I got one more hunt there before I am done.

Make it a long one.

Well done :yo:

This is a chance of a lifetime.Great finds.Wish i was you right now. where is this at??? ha.ha.:yikes:

Plan on hunting it for years. Most of us dream of such a place.

Congratulations on your good fortune.

1. Awesome finds!!! Most of us can only dream of a truly virgin site.

2. DON"T tell anyone. Not even 5 years down the road. Once one person finds out the whole neighborhood knows.

This site will definitely give you many years of great finds. Hunt it wisely. HH!!

Mucho Mucho WoW!
Congratulations on a really special site find Stix!
Looks like it could keep you occupied for a very very long time.
I concur with most of the other posts about keeping mum. (even to the property owner don't concede too much)
Also it doesnt appear that pull tabs were around too long before the site was abandoned so you might
want to dig most signals when you have more time as there might be some gold lurking.

Yeah I would be as silent as death about that place, He could pull stuf out of there for years. No telling how much silver is there.

Actually about $1.5 million. Find a 1933 St. Gaudens twenty dollar gold piece and you're looking at $10 million plus. I'd only have to find one to make me happy. HAAA.

I am going to try and head there this weekend for one more hunt prolly sunday. I have never been so excited I felt like 12 years old again :bouncy: I will be quiet about the place but that what makes this forum so great you can share what ya found. Part of the fun is sharing what we get. My favorite thing to do in the AM and PM is to come on here and look at peoples finds.

I really want to check out the beach area in the area before spring but cannot pass up the spot where I found these finds. I will definitly keep ya all posted.

If I found gold coin I think I would pass out :stretcher:

The area is great place to search as it is like a national park nothing around no houses, roads, people just trees. A river runs thru it as well but marshy by river.
