gillett razor

Ouch..... scrapped more than it cut the whiskers if you ask me LOL:heh:

Even though it had been in the ground for who knows i sprayed some wd40 and she works just fine! Believe it or not these Gillette fat boy safety razors are hot sellers on eBay posted mine today .

Vintage,

Don't expect top dollar seeing how the Nickle has deteriorated (or with a description that says "found metal detecting") from sitting in the ground for years but I certainly was impressed how a little bit of wd40 got her working smooth as silk! I've got 2 days left on eBay and she's up to $13.54 but I don't think ill clear much more than $15.00 (also found a 1982 matchbox car yesterday in the yard)but a good find for the new vaquero!

Final bid for razor that i dug with my new vaquero on eBay was $20.04...I got a good feeling it's just the beginning of many super finds to come! On Sunday I found my first ring but the only markings I can make out is " g76 " dont know if its junk or not but it not deteriorated or corroded i will try and post a picture on Thurs the 11Th . Even though I'm still on the first battery I can hear the differences between a jagged foil sound and a full sounding coin. pull tabs sound like coins but can usualy discriminate them out. ran across some deep iron targets that sound like good shallow targets before i started digging, know I got a ways to go before mastering the vaquero but I'm sure having fun while I'm learning and that's all that matters anyhow!

Interesting history in regards to this company.
